Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to buy crypto assets through the Bybit Kazakhstan P2P platform.
Important Notes:
- P2P transactions are processed only through the Funding Account. Before starting a transaction, make sure your USDT is stored in your Bybit Kazakhstan Funding Account.
- Bybit Kazakhstan does not charge any fees from buyers or sellers. However, depending on the payment method chosen by the buyer, the bank or payment service provider may charge a fee.
- To ensure a secure trading environment, each transaction undergoes automatic risk assessment. If a transaction is deemed high-risk, a 24-hour withdrawal restriction will be applied to the corresponding account.
Step 1: Please click on Buy Crypto → P2P Trading on the top left corner of the navigation bar to enter the P2P trading page.
Before using P2P trading, you must add a Payment Method and provide the following details:
- Payment Method — name of the second-tier bank (STB). Currently, only Halyk Bank is supported.
- Full Name — your full surname, first name, and patronymic.
- The first line is automatically filled in based on your Bybit Kazakhstan verification data.
- The second line must include your name in Cyrillic if the first line is in Latin, and vice versa.
- The name on your Payment Method must exactly match your verified name on Bybit Kazakhstan. Any mismatch may lead to account suspension, and the buyer has the right to refuse the P2P transaction.
- IIN — Individual Identification Number
- IBAN — bank account number
- Phone number linked to your Halyk Bank account
Note: At this time, only Halyk Bank is permitted as a payment method on P2P, and only Halyk Bank details can be added or used.
Step 2: On the Buy page, you can filter advertisers by entering your desired criteria for Coin Type, Amount, Fiat Currencies, Payment Method, and more, based on your transaction needs.
Notes:
— Under the Advertiser column, the displayed order quantity and percentage refer to:
- Number of orders made in 30 days
- Completion rate in 30 days
— Under the Price column, you can see the reference price that counterparties are offering.
— The Available/Limits column displays the available balance for each advertisement as well as the minimum and maximum transaction limits per order, in fiat terms.
— Under the Payment Method column, you can see all supported payment methods for the advertisement you've selected.
Step 3: Choose your preferred advertisement, and click on Buy USDT.
Step 4: Enter the amount of fiat you want to pay, or the amount of USDT you want to receive, and click Buy to proceed.
Step 5: You’ll be redirected to a page where you'll see a countdown timer and the seller’s payment details. Copy the seller’s phone number.
Note. If you want to cancel a P2P trade, click “Cancel Order.” Please be aware that there is a daily limit on the number of cancellations. Exceeding this limit will result in your P2P trading being blocked for 24 hours. During this time, simply wait until the restriction is lifted.
Step 6: On the Halyk Bank mobile app, select Transfers and paste the seller’s phone number in the Recipient’s phone number field. Ensure that the recipient’s name matches the seller’s name in the order, and you are transferring the right amount.
After the successful transfer, tap History in the Halyk Bank app, save the payment receipt. Take a screenshot of the payment receipt (you can save the receipt or send it to yourself via a messenger, then open the receipt on your phone or in the messenger and take a screenshot of it).
Step 7: Return to your P2P order in the Bybit Kazakhstan P2P page, click the Payment Completed button to notify the seller, and attach a screenshot of the payment receipt to confirm payment.
Note. If you do not transfer the funds, do not tap “Payment Completed” and do not upload the payment receipt, the order will be automatically canceled. Providing the payment receipt is mandatory — without it, the seller cannot complete the P2P trade and release the crypto assets to you. If the payment receipt is not uploaded within the required time, the order will be rejected, and the transferred funds will be returned to the bank account from which the payment was made within 3–5 business days.
Step 8: Once you confirm the payment, the seller will verify the payment receipt and ensure that the payment details match. Upon confirmation, the seller will release the USDT, completing the P2P transaction.
Important. If the details in your payment method and the payment receipt do not match, the seller will cancel the P2P transaction. In that case, your funds will be refunded to your bank account within 3–5 business days.
Notes:
— By clicking on Contact Seller, you will be redirected to the Order Chat Box, which allows you to easily communicate with sellers in real time.
— Failing to transfer the funds to the Seller within the set timer or insufficient balance in your Bybit Kazakhstan account will automatically cancel your order.
— If the fiat currency you transfer is not paid on time, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some tips for your reference:
- Make sure that the Seller’s receiving account details are correct.
- Confirm whether the payment method you’re using supports real-time transfers. Otherwise, it will take some time to complete the payment.
- Contact your bank or third-party payment platform to find out why the deposit was unsuccessful.
Step 9: Once the coins you've purchased have been successfully released by the seller, you can check your assets in the Funding Account. You can also check your order status from the P2P order history.
If the seller fails to release the coins after 60 minutes, contact the buyer via Order Chat Box to clarify the payment details.
